Fabric and why it matters

Seersucker is a cotton weave with a gently crinkled, puckered surface. Because the fabric does not lie flat, it touches the skin at fewer points and lets more air move around the legs, which is why it has long been a favourite for hot, humid weather. The texture also hides creases, so the pants look fine straight off the line. Pure cotton lets air pass through and soaks up sweat, so these pants stay comfortable in peak Indian summer and as year-round indoor wear.
