These pants are knitted in 240 GSM French terry. French terry is a knit with a smooth face on the outside and small soft loops on the inside. The loops sit against your child's legs, feel cushioned and soak up sweat, while the smooth outer face looks neat and takes colour well.
GSM means grams per square metre, a simple measure of how substantial a fabric is. At 240 GSM, this has more body than a thin summer pant but is far lighter than fleece. That makes it useful across much of the Indian year: cool mornings, air-conditioned classrooms and playschools, winter evenings and long travel days. Warm when needed, breathable always.
An undyed inner face. The neon colour sits on the outer face only. The looped side that touches your child is RFD cotton: cotton that has been prepared for print, but never dyed. So the colour you see on the outside is not what sits against the skin.

Does the bright colour touch my child's skin?
No. The colour is on the outer face only. The looped inner side against the skin is undyed RFD cotton.
Are these too warm for Indian weather?
At 240 GSM they sit between a light summer pant and fleece. They suit cool mornings, air-conditioned rooms, winter evenings and travel, and the cotton loops breathe and absorb sweat.
Will they shrink after washing?
Shrinkage is under 5% because the fabric is compacted, pre-shrunk and wash-tested in our own factory. Wash cold and skip the tumble dryer for best results.
