These are knitted in 240 GSM French terry: a looped inner face and a smooth outer surface. The loops trap a little air, so the fabric stays comfortable across a wide temperature range — warm enough for a Delhi December evening, still breathable through a Chennai afternoon. Dark green also has a practical advantage most parents work out fast: it forgives grass, mud and the general aftermath of a park visit far better than a pale colour does.
The stripe is printed on the outer face only. The looped side that touches your child is RFD cotton — prepared, but never dyed.
